"Gather My Apostles"

Dear Brethren,

I apologize for taking so long in writing this report on the Gathering of the Lord's Apostles Sept. 27-30 1999. This is the first time since the Gathering that I have felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to write.

There are lessons for the entire Body of Christ that came forth at this Gathering. For three years I focused on bringing forth this Gathering as though it was the only one. I realize now that I needed that kind of focus just to reach the finish line.

About two months before the Gathering the Lord began speaking to me that this was the beginning. Even as I was traveling to California there were Apostles contacting me. The Lord is still Gathering His Apostles under His Command. "Gather My Apostles from around the world into one place and time as has not been since the days of Pentecost".

I can tell you that Satan has opposed this Gathering of the Lord's Apostles at every turn. Time and time again, I watched the Lord make a way where there seemed to be no way.

I reserved a ballroom at the WestCoast Anaheim Hotel. I had no way of knowing the exact number of those who would attend. There was no pre registration. It was kept as pure and unhindered by man as I could possibly make it. Keeping in line with this there were no scheduled speakers no preconceived agenda that would hinder the Lord from doing as He would there.

The first day there were 60 who signed in. Then the number grew to 81. There were Apostles from all over the country and Apostles representing every continent of the world.

The Lord spoke to me and taught me for many years about Calling His Church to Order before giving me the Command to Gather His Apostles. The true focus is the Church the Body of Christ Coming to God's Order and Ways.

In the Church right now there is chaos and confusion and every man for himself. There has been no Order as the Lord birthed it in the beginning of His Church. Without Order there can be no unity.

I remember saying to the assembly that first day that this was not Church as usual. I told them that if it was Church as usual, I would leave. Most in attendance were men who have heard the Lord Jesus call them to be His Apostles and have been under some intense training of the Lord for many years. All had gone to great expense to be there. This was no Sunday School.

Those who assembled that first day in Anaheim were a direct reflection of the problems in the Church. It seemed that every man had an agenda that they wanted to bring forth. The first day was pretty much an open forum and it did allow us all to see clearly what it was like with out Order. It seemed that without order Satan was trying constantly to take the direction given by the Lord to the wayside.

The direction from the Lord that I received that first day confirmed by several other Brothers was that we should get to know each other and minister to one another in love. All had suffered and do suffer rejection by the Churches for the Callings and direction on their lives given by the Lord. This direction was delivered to the assembly first by myself and then at least two others that day. It just didn't happen that day.

The second day the Lord woke me with the command to bring the meeting to order and to keep our focus on the reason for the Gathering. The Lord dealt with everyone that second day about Order. It took most of the second day with the Lord impressing upon some His Order for the meeting to be received and respected.

From this point forward every word given that was in alignment with the purpose for the Gathering was anointed and blessed by the Lord. Every word that came forth that was not in alignment just seemed to lay flat. That night we decided to pray as an assembly and seek the face of the Lord. We prayed for His very presence. The room filled with the sound of prayer. At one point I heard the Lord tell me to bring them to silence. He spoke it several times. I looked at another brother sitting next to me and asked Him what is the Lord saying to you? He said, I think the Lord wants us to be quiet. I stood at the podium and called for silence telling everyone that it had been confirmed. The room became very quiet as all listened for the voice of our Lord.

Suddenly I heard the Lord speak very clearly to me. He said, "Peace be unto you. What I am doing here, you do not fully understand now. Again I say, Peace be unto you". As I repeated what the Lord had spoke, it broke the silence in the room. We continued on in prayer. Some of the brethren came over to me and began to minister to me and to wash my feet. One Brother began speaking and teaching on Mystery Babylon the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth. As they ministered to me I remember the anointing of the Lord coming on me very strong. I told the lying spirits that had been plaguing us to get the hell out. Then I remember standing with all of these other Apostles around and in one accord I began speaking to Mystery Babylon with great power and authority to release the Bride of Christ! It was powerful.

That night I watched the Lord manifest Himself in His Servants with great Love ministering to each one as everyone was able to minister and be ministered to. We went late that night as the Apostles of the Lord washed each others feet and ministered in the gifts of the Spirit. Many of us had hoped that the Lord would manifest Himself to us in this Gathering. But I tell you Jesus manifested Himself the He wants to manifest to the World in this time. That is in His Servants whom He has chosen.

I want to be able to pass some of the others stories on to you in the days ahead as they come in here.

The next day we began by continuing to wash feet to be sure that all were able to minister and to be ministered to.

I saw the Love of the Lord and a bonding between all that I have never seen before. I heard men speaking of being willing to lay down their lives for others and I believed them.

Every time the Lord gave me specific direction we would follow that direction. When the Lord did not give specific direction, I would just let things develop.

Every time I would follow the direction given to me by the Lord, Satan would rise up and oppose it. Please know that Satan's desired perfect weapon is a well intentioned Christian that he can use at any given moment. I have noticed that it is usually one who is puffed up with spiritual pride. One such as this stood and opposed in the face of 60 Apostles who bore witness to his error. It is very hard for one walking in pride and arrogance to receive anything of the Lord.

There were two very specific leadings of the Lord that He gave to me prior to the Gathering. One was that we should stand as Body of Apostles and repent for the lawlessness of the Churches of times past. The other was that we should stand in one accord and recommit our lives to the Service of the Lord as knights before the King. The opposition to this, assured me that Satan did not want to see this happen.

But I tell you it did happen. The Apostles there who would, stood in front of witnesses as a corporate body and repented for the lawlessness of times past and recommitted their life to the service of the Lord. I sensed in my spirit that this was accepted by the Lord and was very powerful.

There was a birthing in these Apostles to begin to Call the Church to Order. One Brother said the Lord showed him a pond with a stone being dropped into it with the ripples of the water expanding outward.

There was almost continual fellowship and ministry everywhere.

We heard tremendous testimony from those who attended from overseas. They told of the opposition to keep them from coming and of the miraculous ways the Lord made it possible.

Before the last session of the last day, I took a drive and sought the Lord for direction. The Lord began telling me that we had just spent four days that could have come right out of the bible. We lived a very New Testament story. The Lord in Calling His Church to Order began with some of His Apostles who were of no reputation and took them back to the basics of the faith and discipleship by Him. The Lord showed me that every time we lost our focus nothing would happen and every time we kept our focus He was there to bless it and anoint it. He told me to tell the Brethren to begin to seek Him for some new messages. I knew in my spirit that these new messages would be interwoven with Calling the Church to Order.

That night before wrapping it up. I laid hands on each of the men there to send them out with the flames that began there at the Gathering fueled by the Holy Spirit.

I have heard already that some have assumed that we were commissioning Apostles at this Gathering. This is not true and no one can commission an Apostle or Prophet but the Lord Himself. There are some who in error are ordaining Apostles. Please beware of this doctrine.

There are 14 two hour video tapes of the Gathering. I am attempting now to edit some of this down. I should have these tapes ready to go soon. To really get the full effect of the Gathering you should have all the tapes. However this is expensive and time consuming.

I know that many of you are anxious to see the Lord Call His Church to Order and to see His Glory poured out on His Body. Next to evangelizing, this is probably the most important work of this time.

While I was writing the book Gather My Apostles I wrote by the Holy Spirit that Unity without Order is not possible. The experience of this Gathering of the Lord's Apostles has proven that to me more than ever. We must come to Order.

Would the Lord in Calling His Church to Order, Gather His Apostles and then call them to Order first? I believe this is exactly what the Lord is doing here.

I have been seeking the Lord for His direction for the next Gathering of His Apostles. There were many of you who were unable to attend this first Gathering. But I would suggest that you come to the next one. The Lord is in process of bringing us to His desired place for us. He is still Gathering His Apostles from around the world.
